Lynn Mendoza-Khan is an internationally acclaimed vocalist, choir director, composer, arranger, and dedicated music educator with over two decades of experience spanning classical, folk, and contemporary genres. Trained in classical voice and piano, Lynn’s artistic journey has been shaped not only by opera houses and conservatories, but also by the spirited harmonies of barbershop quartets, the heartfelt vibrancy of mariachi, and the storytelling traditions of musical theatre and folk music.

From San Diego, where she built a thriving music career for over 20 years, Lynn now calls Portland home. Over the past six years, she has become a beloved figure in the city’s music community, known for her innovative direction, cultural advocacy, and mentorship that transforms singers of all backgrounds.

Lynn’s choirs and private students are drawn not only to her technical expertise but to her rare blend of straightforward honesty and deep empathy. Whether she's preparing a soprano for conservatory auditions or guiding a community choir through their first performance, Lynn creates spaces where students feel seen, supported, and empowered. Her holistic, heart-forward approach fosters trust—and through that trust, singers blossom beyond what they imagined possible.

As the founder and artistic director of the Latinx Choral Project, Lynn champions culturally relevant repertoire and inclusive musical spaces. Her leadership reflects a lifelong commitment to using music as a force for connection, identity, and joy.
